Vocab blog #5
The negotiations between the three worlds had, so far, been cordial. Today however, was going to be a limpid deviation from the present peace. Today was allocated for the discussion of leadership. Everyone came in with ardent, assiduous attitudes. Arguments began almost immediately, and the rancor that settled caused copious brash decisions to be made. By the time they decided to break for lunch, no one had an inkling of what the other two wanted. Three days later they finally came to an agreement, and exulted in there triumph when they announced the news.

Vocab Blog #4
It was beautiful. Surrounded by a lush green forest, the temple was magnificent. Stories and histories were painted with explicit detail on the walls. It was all I could do to supress a gasp of shock. The pinnacle looked as if it was covered in gold. That night we reflected on the solace of finally finding the ancient temple. One of the historians brandished a book comprised of stories and legends of other peoples and began to read. It was a story of how a group of people had been extirpated from their homes and forced to move on, and how that same year, winter came very innoportune. The people took it as a ominous symbol, and predicted that the tribe would not surrvive to see the next winter. As that winter drew near the people became more destitute, and sure enough by the time winter came again, non of the tribe was left. The story had been writen beautifully, and it only inreased our excitment for tomorrows work. The next night, we all talked about what we had learned. One had learned about one of the peoples leaders had a venal habit when he ruled. I spoke of how stately the main living quarters had been when we found them, how the colors of walls were still bright and vibrant. And so we went...

Vocab blog #3
"So, how was history of the known univers today?" Ben asked as Vestarra walked out of her class.
"We had a fill-in teacher today, so pretty boring actually. All she did was give us a verbatim of what our books say. How was your sparing lesson? ". Vestarra said
"Great, I got paired with this gril, Callista, who didn't look like it would be hard to take down. But, man was I wrong. Turns out she's ambidextrous, which only augmented her ability with a sword." Ben replied as he tried to tame his unkempt hair.
"So, any idea what this meeting is about?"Vestarra asked.
"I heard someone say that the Grand Master was speaking, but other than that, no."
"He's deploying a set of knights into the field to go deal with the slave rebellion on Kuwatt."said the stolid voice of Barv. Vestarra and Ben stared at each other for a moment, then moved on to another topic of conversation in hushed tones.
When they reached the great hall, they gaped at its opulence. They gave their names to the knight stationed at the door and were told to make their way to the front of the hall, that they were in the first row. They tentatively made their way to the front, but hid their surprise under a guise of strength and courage. They both knew what would happen during this meeting. They were going to be sent with the knights to Kuwatt...

Vocab story #2
So, this summer I went to North Carolina for some theater workshops. For one of the workshops, we worked on monologues from a book called Spoon River Anthology. The monologues were all for people who are dead, and it is based on people that the author really did know. Of the one we did, a few of them spoke about their untimley demise. Others mused about how wonderful and full their lives were. Some of them talk about how they felt coerced into killing themselves. One of the monologues that I got to perform, was a woman who was a little older, she was contemplating what it took to get to heaven and trying to explain it to the others in the graveyard. She was trying to be a precedent for those that were not sure. Many people talked about times and events they wished they could redress, or people they hadn't been so negligible toward. Some of the stories are tied together, for example, there was a German girl living in the village, gave up her baby. She watched him grow into a wonderful politician, debating with his adversaries, and exhilarating the crowds he made his speeches to. Another man talked abpout how he was always at parties. How his fields were always fallow, because he would be pulled into them, and never regretted it for a second. All of the monologues have a lesson or point that they want to get across during their sojourn in the graveyard is over.

Vocab Blog #1: Once Upon A Time...
Once upon a time there was a prince named John, who was very adroit at math. The neighboring kingdom rather than being belligerent, was benevolent toward the people of the princes land. This was because the prince was very cursory in his duties to the people. His very meticulous advisor Jimmy told him one day that it was feasible that his rule was in jeopardy. There was a kingdom across the ocean, whose ruler, Karl, was the quintessence of generosity. Karl, for some time, had held John's ways under high scrutiny, and when the time came for the annual meeting of the rulers, he publicly deemed Prince John's actions, or lack of them, to be an act of duplicity toward his people. The other rulers agreed with Prince Karl, and with an averse decision, removed him from power. Prince John left with a grimace as the other rulers divided up his territory so that they could take care of the people.
